Student Learning

1:1 iPad Program

Success Primary School 1:1 iPad Program (Years 2–6)
At Success Primary School, our 1:1 iPad program for students in Years 2 to 6 provides personalised, creative, and future-focused learning opportunities. The program equips students with essential digital skills, preparing them to thrive in an increasingly connected and fast-paced world.

Aligned with the Department of Education’s 2020–2024 ICT Vision for Teaching and Learning in Public Schools, the program is embedded across all learning areas — including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Health, The Arts, Languages, and Physical Education — and supports the Western Australian Curriculum’s ICT General Capabilities and Design and Digital Technologies.

The program promotes confident and responsible digital citizenship, supporting our school’s Future Aspirations to nurture adaptable learners who are ready for the future.

Importantly, the use of iPads is purposeful and balanced. Students are not on devices all day, and iPads do not replace face-to-face teaching, traditional handwriting, or outdoor activities. Technology is one of many tools used to enhance learning — not to replace the role of the teacher.

Having a personal device allows students to begin tasks immediately, store and protect their own work, and access online resources with ease. It also ensures individual monitoring, greater efficiency in class, and seamless access to key learning tools and assessments such as NAPLAN Online, PAT Testing, and platforms like Sound Waves and Languages Online.

Students without an iPad will have access to school owned device, however the device will not be available for use at home. This includes students whose iPad is in for repair.

In support of our iPad Program, Winthrop Australia offer specially discounted Apple products for students.
