Hello Parents and Carers,

I hope everyone has enjoyed a restful and refreshing summer break and that your children are feeling excited about meeting their new teachers and classmates.

To help ensure a smooth and safe start to the year, please take a moment to review the important reminders below.

Parking and Drop Off
I encourage all parents and carers to review the attached parking map and make use of our overflow parking areas.
Please keep our Kindy students and students with additional needs in mind and help reduce congestion and stress for families during drop-off and pick-up times.

Please do not park in the front carpark or in any bays designated for students with additional needs.
Using overflow parking — not just on the first day, but throughout the year — helps keep our students and community safe.

iPads – Years 3–6
• Students in Years 3–6 should bring their iPads to school on Monday. New enrolments will be added to our school’s Apple Manager by Mrs Da Luz during the week.
• Please delete any holiday group chats and closely monitor messaging apps. With updated legislation introduced last year, students should not have access to social media or messaging platforms.
• Please clean up the iPad by removing unnecessary photos, videos and unused apps. iPads are learning tools and should have adequate storage available for school use.

Mobile Phone and Personal Device Policy
We ask all families to review our SPS Mobile Phone and Device Policy prior to the start of term. This outlines expectations for student device use at school (e.g. mobile phones and smart watches) and helps us maintain a safe and focused learning environment. Thank you for your support in reinforcing these expectations with your child. Mobile-Phone-and-Device-Policy.pdf

School Uniform Guidelines
A reminder to please review our School Uniform Guidelines. Wearing the correct uniform supports student safety, belonging and school pride. We appreciate your support in ensuring students arrive in appropriate school uniform each day. School-Uniform-Guidelines.pdf

Class Lists
Due to several recent enrolments, updated class lists and 2026 map are attached to this notice.  Please do not email the school about class lists, as the class lists are final and will not be changed.

Student Arrival Time
Students should arrive at school at 8:25am. Classrooms open at 8:30am, which is 15 minutes before the formal start of the school day.
Students who arrive early will be asked to remain seated outside classrooms. We appreciate your support in not sending students to school too early, as supervision is limited before this time.

Parent Information Booklet
Attached you will also find important and relevant information in our 2026 Parent Information Booklet and Term 1 Community Planner to support your planning for the term ahead.  Please note our Parent Information Sessions on Friday Week 2 and 3.

We are excited to begin another wonderful year of learning and growth together. I look forward to seeing everyone very soon.

Warm regards,

Natalie McRobb
Principal
